| XGL Woes |

You know what you miss most once you don't have Windows? Games. I think I've said that before, but it really got to me once I realized there was a decent amount of open source games available for Linux. Mana World, Battle for Wesnoth, LinCity, etc. All of these are free and fun. While they're not as stimulating as Battlefield 2, they're fun. Problem is, they don't wok with XGL. For some reason, XGL renders them transperant so you can't see anything. Problem is, XGL makes the desktop experience so much more fun, I'm having trouble parting with it. I had to create a seperate user to play games on. Fedora is more functional in regular X, but it's more fun in XGL.
I really hope this is a problem they fix soon.

And, good news: Summer school finally ended. Now I can get back to reading my books and playing my games. Unwind some. I intended to work tomorrow, but instead my primary goal is to relax. |
